Today was a special day. Pangea, who had not opened her eyes before, except a little bit for Mom, finally did for Grandpa Doug (holding her here). She followed his voice by turning her head and opened her eyes. They are blue!! She shut them and opened them several times while listening to his voice.
Many people are asking about the meanings behind the baby's names, so here's an explanation:

PANGEA = Gaea, meaning Earth in Ancient Greek, was the supercontinent that existed during the Paleozoic and Mesozoic eras about 250 million years ago, before the component continents were separated into their current configuration.

POLOLENA = Hawaiian translation of the name "Florence," in honor of Ryan's grandmother who passed away last year.

IMELDA = in honor of Ali's paternal grandmother who also passed away last year.

Beautiful mother and beautiful daughter

She gets cuter every day. By the way, her official name is Pangea Pololena Imelda Poe.

21 inches long - 8 lbs, 10 oz.

Mom and baby are doing fine.

OK, so after 19 hours of unproductive labor, the Dr. decided to do a C-section. Here's Ryan after delivery, taking Pangea to the nursery.
